At last I think I’ve seen the benefit of feed readers and have set up a few feeds. To start with: if:book, Over the net and on the table, thedigitalist, The New York Review of Books and the New Zealand Listener arts and books page. For this I have to thank a two-hour meeting I could have done without and the inspiration of watching a colleague spend the meeting reading bits and pieces from around the net, downloaded, she said, for weekend reading. The plan is to start reading something more edifying than Stuff.co.nz and facebook status updates. Good luck to me and thanks to Best of 3.
It seems seriously old-fashioned to be saying this in the 21st century, and to my mind it should be old-fashioned, but here I am saying it: Save the whales, stop the whaling. If you think it will help, sign the petition to Stop Japan’s whaling programme.
